Request Set Default Gallery

    Can you make it so we can set a default gallery. I really dont want users to have their own gallery... I want everybody to upload to the only categories I set and when you click the gallery link, my default gallery will display.

    Hello David,

    That will break/drop down the features of XenGallery. In XenGallery, we have following level:

    - Gallery Index
    ---- Category
    -------- Album
    ------------ Photo
    ------------ Video
    ---- Album
    -------- Photo
    -------- Video

    By force them to upload to only 1 album will break these structures down. You might previous family with other Gallery software that has a category which contains all photos (For example, PhotoPost...) But it is different story with XenGallery.

    So you should allow them to create their own albums.

    Still would like to see that as a option, seems you are forcing the purchaser to be locked into that type of format. It wouldn't be hard to have it set to a default gallery or if the site owner (purchaser) wishes to allow it to be displayed by user album.

    Sorry if you are misunderstanding. I am not forcing but if there is an option for that, it requires lot of code-change as it is not the way that XenGallery currently works.

    By the way, you are mentioning about Categories, Categories are located here: http://www.sonnb.com/gallery/categories and you can create just one allow force them to choose Category on creation.
