Not a bug Comments In Xengallery Do Not Appear In Xf Userprofile

    Hi

    XF 1.2.5 & newest xengallery.

    I have merged some forums and imported them into XF I also merged and imported photopost into xengallery. No I found a strange behaviour.

    I have an old user who wrote in photopost around 1200 comments. I can see those comments now in Xengallery with the right username. The username is also lonked to the right userprofile wothin XF, but in the userprofile it displays only 6 comments.

    I already rebuild all caches, with all possible options. Nothing chnaged. I looked now in teh db with phpmyadmin and all commenst are definetely in teh xengallery comenst table and also with the right user-id.

    So I do not understand, why this is not shown in XF? Is there any other table of XF or Xengallery, where something could be wrong so the interaction between the two is not correct?

    I am just afraid, that if this is wrong with this user, it might be wrong with many more users...

    I have now found a second user, whoms gallery comments are not displayed in the userprofile.

    If I do use the search function in xengallery, both users do not get find, although there username is proposed in teh serach field. But the search results in zero commenst and zero images. But both have commenst and images in the xengallery.

    So also the xengallery search seems not to work properly...

    Also If I comment on an image in the gallery, this comment does not appear in my userprofile of XF...

    Here is another information:

    If one user posts a comment in Xengallery, the comment does appear in the XF-userprofile in the tab "last activity", but not in the tab "last comments".

    The post count does not increase neither. Hope that helps in finding the reason for this. If you need access data, I can send them via PM.

    Hello,

    Comments in XenGallery will not be shown in User Profile. In User Profile, it is called "Profile Post" which is not related to comments in XenGallery.

    Post count also is not being increased to prevent spamming which is expected and an optional option for this is not available yet.

    Hi,

    no, I do not mean the tab "profile post". I mean the third tab from the left called "postings". This is something different then profiel posting. See also screenshot.

    All comments in the gallery are shown in the second tab from the left, called "recent activity", but none in the third tab "postings".

    In my view the comments to the images in the gallery needs to show up there too. Not only comments in a thread within a forum.

    I see what you mean. But this is not a bug because XenForo only looks for posts (in threads) in this tab. It might be added later but for now, I will change this to "Not a bug".
