What Happens When Xf 2.0 Is Out?

I'm still using XF 1.5.x, so no worries. But I'm sure once the new version is released for XF 2, it will be awesome!

 

Gosh, logging in here stock XF1 feels weird and dated now after using XF2 for a while...

 

Honestly I still prefer XF1. Just seems to work better IMO. Not interested in upgrading at all, even tho I did at one point... hehe

 

Any chance to get XG 3 still before the license is expired ?

 

Nice....but i guess the people here would like to know when you finalize XenGallery....and maybe they wonder why you not first finalize you most famous and wanted AddIn....

 

Just checking in to see when the gallery mod will be ready, that is what I think most of us are looking for. Will renew my account same day you have the gallery mod ready. will be buy update and beta test if needed early once your ready. cheers!

 

XenGallery 2 is the only add-on I'm waiting for upgrade to XF2.


BUT, I SEEN XenGallery 1 was removed from XENFORO.COM....
Seems there's no XG2.

XenGallery is the only gallery mod I want on my site, I've upgraded to xen 2.0.7, just let me know when to renew and will do that to get the new version, can beta test as well.

Since 2005 I ran different car forums mostly based on free software and I always used galleries, but none of them were successful for the only reason that they weren't intuitive and only a few members used the gallery. All this changed with this gallery, it is very easy and intuitive to use for my users, it has everything we need from a gallery script, and has the best interface I've seen in a gallery.

I could have use the official gallery add-on which is fully translated into my language, but I choosed to use this add-on and spent some hours in translating partially this gallery.

I hope it will not be abandoned, I have no problems waiting till the next year, let us know your intentions @sonnb

Thank you for the replay. At least it lets us make alternative plans till we can buy the upgrade which I will do when its ready.

 

I currently do not use XF2 at all. All my sites are still using XF1.5.22

There are 3 things that hold me back from upgrading from XF1.5x to XF2.x

1. Most importantly, there are no features which add value to me or my users compared to XF1.5x

2. Not all my addons are available yet for XF2. SonnB Gallery is not the only addon not yet ready for XF2.

3. I use currently on 5 sites Xenporta 2 with XF1.5x. There is now a new Wordpress-XF bridge out there which looks interesting. I have not decided yet, whether I stay with Xenporta once I upgrade to XF2 or whether I switch to that Wordpress bridge. In both scenarios, I have to buy new licences for each. So a lot of money is involved in that decision

My guess is, that Xenforo will release within the next 8 weeks XF2.1 and this version will have new features. Then I will look again to it.

Maybe there is a "killer-feature" I absolutely need to have. But maybe not. Then I stick with XF1.5x.

My forums are running excellent on XF1.5x, so there is no reason to rush for upgrading.

I do not want to have the workload and the investments for new templates, addons etc. just to say I "have" XF2, but without any advantage for me...
