Question Insert Affiliate Link On Camera Gallery View

Is there any simple way to insert an affiliate link next to the camera in the gallery?

I just want to include: "Buy this camera/phone here" and that would be very handy.

Any suggestions welcome.

 

I would like to tailor the link for each camera so it links to the store and directly to the product. That way the person viewing the photos taken by that camera on my site can be taken to the relevant page.

I guess a generic link to the store home page would be better than nothing but it wouldn't be as effective and I could only use one vender but that would be OK as a start.

The best option for me (with my limited backend coding knowledge) is to have a space somewhere so I can custom edit the link to show next to the camera data (or even on the same page somewhere) so if the link needed to be changed or edited later for that specific camera it could be done.

My template editing experience is limited to changing the odd colours, size of text, and widths etc but I'm willing to try more complex edits if you have any suggestions...?

XenGallery is not just a great photo/video host but with the built in camera data and Exif associating directly to the type of camera it could also be a perfect marketing tool for those Admins who have affiliates. If you think about impulse buying; for example, a visitor views an image in the gallery and they love the shot - then they notice what camera was used to take that photo - then they think I want that camera - then they follow the link to the store and buy - it's the perfect marketing scenario!

OK, and just insert the link (www.examplecamerashop) directly onto the template next to the phrase and it will appear?

And, how would I custom the link for each camera to go to the product page for that camera?

now that this is integrated with xengallery:
is it possibile to insert only Amazon affiliate code? is it supported eBay too?
It can be possible to view them in the same page and product sort by price?

 

This is a pretty interesting development! I haven't upgraded yet but I will soon - not sure how Amazon will work for me as in Australia I can't become an affiliate (yet) and to get around this I use Viglinks but this is definitely a step in the right direction for admins who would like to use this gallery addon for affiliates.
