Suggestion Reorganize The Alert Preferences For Xengallery

First, there are too many options, it make it seem complicated.

Second, and more importantly, the organization is not intuitive. The user must choose to receive an alert when someone likes THEIR album AND when someone likes ANY album that they have commented on. This creates a situation where users often opt out of alerts because they might comment on hundreds of albums and then get an alert anytime ANYONE likes those albums.

A much better organization, IMHO, would be to break out alerts for a user's own content vs. the content of others. Most people don't really care if someone else liked someone else's album. But, they really care if someone liked THEIR album.

Further, I think the alert preferences could be consolidated to reduce the total number of options.

 

Please take a look at this when you can. Alerts are not useful in the current state on a busy forum.
