Help Some Phone Images Rotated When Uploaded

Lots of my phone pictures are uploading rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise on my forum, where as they upload perfectly on yours, I'm not sure why?

Ahh interesting! That makes sense.

I'm not really sure what the issue with with my exif then.

I just tested it in threads, and it seems fine in threads, it's the gallery where it's not rotating

Yeah, it's weird. I don't understand that.

The images I'm testing are getting rotated correctly in threads, which indicates to me it's working because as I understand it, XF uses EXIF to decide if the images needs roatation.

But they don't get rotates in the gallery, and the camera info for the my iPhone 6S doesn't appear.

EXIF data for older cameras appear though, this sample image I found online seems to show the EXIF data.

Does there need to be data about the camera uploaded to the /admin.php?gallery/cameras section in order for it to work? Because the latest iPhone version I have in my install is the iPhone 5S.

Do I need to do anything with php.ini to get it working?

I'm using EasyApache and multi PHP to run php 7.0.11 and it says it has EXIF enabled in phpinfo

 

Any luck with this Son? My site is now live and users are uploading images to the gallery which aren't rotating.

If you need any login details to check my server just let me know.

 

It's weird, some exif data does appear on certain photos, so maybe it's a bug if the the exif rotation isn't working.

Let me know what we can do to trouble shoot, could really do with getting this working
