Help How To Change Max Char. Of Description/comments?

    I saw a thread from back in 2015 (link here) asking about this and that it was addressed as something which would be available for people to change in the future. I cannot, however, find anything in my ACP that would suggest this has been implemented, at least for the version I am using. I am in dire need of an unlimited description character count. It is very important for some of the core function of the website I am running, as needed by the users on it. Please let me know if this is already implemented, still in the works for the future, and if there is anything I can do in the meantime to manually change it for myself.

    What is controlling the character limit, if you don't mind me asking? Maybe I could come up with an independent fix for myself for the time being. :)

    There are 2 constraints:

    1. The limitation of the text length of the fields in DB.
    2. The limitation in the code (to make sure the length is correct).
