To make things simpler, is it possible to upload image in the post edit screen replacing the standard XF uploader. So when a member creates a new thread they can upload the image, theres is then to option to add it to a particular album, click Create Thread and its all done without needing to always go to the Gallery page first.

It would also be nice to view thumbs of an album in a post, my thinking being it keep the user on the same page unless they choose to navigate to the image page.
Some people might disagree, however if I'm browsing a forum and there are a small amount of images in a post I find it more convenient if I click the preview and the image enlarges for me to see without going to another page. To me it means a user doesnt have to close a tab or navigate backwards to the post they were reading. Simply click outside the pop-out/overlay and your back in the post again (just like with image uploaded using the normal XF uploader).

Some ideas how to implement this in a user friendly way:

Click editor button to insert album - album titles are displayed in a pop-up/overlay with a small thumb preview of the first four photos in each album - on selecting an album, options appear below for:

1 - Single image preview with thumbs displayed below can click any thumb to see image, left or right arrow next to image to click scroll through images. Or click on album preview takes user to the album page. Option to choose auto scroll to preview images. (Example: here )

2 - Non-scrolling tiled album preview, 3, 6 or 9 tile grid, manual vertical scroll through more tiles . Click on any thumbnail and image pops-out, can click scroll through popped out images. (Example: here )

Since we have "Profile picture" (The concept of Facebook) the selected attachments can be added to this album. The insertion of contents and albums will be improved in the future. The current solution is just the first step which is quite complicated by requiring input the ID or URL.

No worries, was just putting some ideas out there :) Looking forward to seeing the future updates as this is a really great gallery add-on.
