Help Want To Disable Photo Overlay (only Use Regular View)

I would really appreciate some help on completely removing the photo overlay from the gallery on my site, in favor of using the regular page view only. As far as I can tell, the template that controls the overlay display function is sonnb_xengallery_photo_view_overlay. My users and myself prefer the full page view, as it blends better with the page layout of the forums and is oddly enough easier on mobile for most of us. I'm humbly asking for your aid in accomplishing this, as I'd rather avoid causing functionality issues by botching it. Thank you so very much for your time!
